Re: Your memories of Liverpool away.
One cold winters night we were in popworld and this bird fell over and broke her leg. I got chatting to her mates being the hero etc and pulled a little scouse bird who said I could go back to hers. Bird loses her keys so we end up driving round in a cab for ages trying to find a room for the night, like fucking Mary and Joseph.

Ended up kipping outside lime street underneath a giant neon advertising screen of Johnny depps mug, shivering my sorry blue bollocks off

First time up there was for a mid week cup game. Going back some we went 1 nil up and Paul Allan scored it.
Then the snow came down and remember they changed to an orange ball. Souness hit one from outside the box and it slid under Parkes body. They went on to score again as they always did back then.

0-0 battered us but I think Steve Jones and Cottee may have hit the post on the 2 occasions we got in their box. I think Mike Newell may have even played and we got a point. Other than that, heavy defeats and calling them out for being cunts/grief tourists etc

Sunday will be visit number 21. The recent win was great but my first visit is probably the best, the relegation night in '89. As has been mentioned a sweltering evening packed in the corner. Doing okay until McMahon took Ince out of the game. Can remember some old chaps behind me singing about "Chelsea FC, they had a reputation....." and me thinking they were Chelsea up for possible agg with the Scousers on our relegation.

First visit there when I was a kid in the late 90's. Missed a turn off on the way leading to us missing the first 20 minutes or so. The second we got to our seat Titi Camara scored off his backside and we lost 1-0.

Recall a midweek effort more recently when Torres ripped us apart. I'd parked at Goodison on a suggestion and left early to beat the rush (before their 4th). Got there and was blocked in. Must have been the last car to leave.
Nearly fell asleep driving home. Up there with my worst ever away games.

Before JAFKD or KAKA mention it, the one time I physically couldn't go due to work was the Billic 3-0.

I've never been that fussed about going back. Proper kick in the nads.

My first trip was when I was about 13,early 80s,went on a Laceys coach, and they dropped us off the wrong side of Stanley Park, leaving us to walk through it on our own, I was absolutely bricking it,the first scrawled sign on a wall said kill all away fans, the next one said kill all cockneys, I've never been so pleased to see old bill before, until they started whacking into us with their fucking big sticks, I've been there about 10 times, seen 3 0-0 draws, lost all the others,I hate the place, good atmosphere though, but they do seem obsessed with dead people, morbid race the scouse.

Misery pain and having a knife pulled on me... in all the times I have ever been I have never even seen us score a goal... was up there for the 1-5 game but could not get in so was listening to the game with about 50 odd other Hammers around a burger bar.... best in about 7 or 8 visits was a 0-0 draw when Wardie hit the bar IIRC...

Re: Your memories of Liverpool away.
Think Holligan had a one on one saved and then Sinclair had a one on one right at the end which he ballooned over the bar when he should have squared it.

Marc Keller scored direct from a corner iirc.

Re: Your memories of Liverpool away.
First trip up in 83 I think, August Bank Holiday.
Took forever on the football special train, got in the ground, we kicked off and Paul Walsh I believe scored after about 30 seconds. Lost 3-0.

The 5-1 that saw us relegated was the worst packed terracing that I ever had the 'pleasure' of being in. I don't think my feet touched the ground all evening it was that packed, and to think that it was weeks after Hillsborough shows that lessons were not learned immediately.

Been there loads of times as it's a good day out.

The 3v0 is undoubtedly the best experience. My daughter's first match too.

The season after lost to them in the cup final on penalties I remember being a laugh and loads of banter with the home end.

Been loads of times always thinking 'this year will end the run of defeats' Nope nearest I got was a 2-2 one year but 4-1, 5-0 Ince scored and loads of other depressing memories. I fucking hate scousers, let's all be honest if the city got nuked no one would miss it and it would certainly make £50bn worth of improvements.

Definitely Holligan, just had to square it to Sinc's to tap into an open goal.

Then again was so long ago, it really could have been the other way around.

Either way, the greedy cunt who tried to score instead of taking the guaranteed goal needed a slap.

I've been there about 12 times and would say it consists of 10 losses and 2 draws.

Been once. Cottee's 2nd debut (got sent off right in front of me) - Game ended 0-0. Was delighted. Think it was about 93 or 94.

Later that night bumped into Julian Dicks in the Baa Bar - Told him I was West Ham, he gave a little smile and just said "good result today!

It was a disaster regardless.

Balders - My mate was at that game, sitting 'shtum' in the Kopp. He said they rated our support that night.

A 1-0 loss ...... just!

It was a fantastic experience, night game under the lights .... we actually had chances ..... but the Kopp pretty much sucked the ball into the net for an 85th min winner for them.

Losing 6-0 on the first time up there 84

Big walk from the station , getting hit with the fuck off big white sticks

Celebrating like crazy when we got a corner (think we were 5 down by then)

Going crazy when leaving the ground

Been about 15 times never seen us win

Re: Your memories of Liverpool away.
I started following West Ham the time before last that we won in the league at Anfield, and, refreshing though the Bilic 0-3 was, I feel it just a statistical blip. Never a happy hunting ground.

That being said, even if we get torn a new one this weekend, it won't be the end of our season.

Pellegrini OUT, though, just in case. Getting in first, like.

I could only get a ticket in the Kop and had to sit and watch Torres tear us a new one
